Children are a great blessing from God. With these great blessings come greater responsibilities. We believe that we are stewards of the Lord’s children, as parents we are responsible helping our offspring to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church believes that we have a responsibility towards the children as well. We provide an atmosphere in which the children feel safe and are taught age-appropriate Bible lessons. We encourage our young charges to develop a relationship with Christ Jesus.
The Children’s Ministry of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran exists to glorify the Lord through joyful children, supporting parents and edifying teachers so the Gospel of Jesus Christ may be spread among our community and the church at large may be strengthened.
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 3:14-15
Come to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran and discover the wide array of ministries for the children, from infants through 8th grade.
Sunday School represents a fun opportunity for children to learn about Jesus and the Bible on Sunday mornings. We focus on the Gospel and the love of Christ for us using age-appropriate resources. They learn Bible stories, do crafts and participate in singing.
Sunday School is on Sunday mornings between the morning worship services from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
The classes are divided as:
Catechism Class offers a more in-depth study of the Word of God in addition to Luther’s Small Catechism. Upon graduating from the class, the children are invited to be confirmed into the faith and join the fellowship of communicants.
Catechism is a three-year study course. The 6th through 7th graders attend Bible Study lessons on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The 8th graders attend Catechism lessons on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. They are confirmed on the first Sunday in May.
While we encourage members and visitors to wear masks, please note that the 11 AM service is a mask-required service. If you do not wish to (or cannot) wear a mask, please plan to attend the 8:30 AM Sunday Service or the 7 PM Thursday service.
We have masks available for those who need them.
